4 solid stars..This review reflects all the Novellas I loved all of the characters so much Rose second guessed herself a lot and I would have liked to seedevelopment with the rest of Sullivan, particularly Mags was she punished , seemed kind of important I got a three way romance vibe with some of the other women and Rose as well The series leaves off on a cliffhanger Women with a biteKane Sullivan is the type of character every gay woman wants to either be or be with She is mysterious, sexy and represents women who engage between stereotypical masculine and feminine characteristics The other characters are also very detailed and engaging to the point where I want to knowabout them I feel the Sullivan family besides Kane, Tommie, and Bran didn t get much of a look in and I would especially like to knowabout Mags and her past as to why she is so Women with a biteKane Sullivan is the type of character every gay woman wants to either be or be with She is mysterious, sexy and represents women who engage between stereotypical masculine and feminine characteristics The other characters are also very detailed and engaging to the point where I want to knowabout them I feel the Sullivan family besides Kane, Tommie, and Bran didn t get much of a look in and I would especially like to knowabout Mags and her past as to why she is so different to the others The potential for this trilogy is huge, however, I feel it did not quite meet the mark Bridget Essex is, by all means, an incredibly talented author who writes for a market that is in need ofauthors like her I do consider whether if I had read this vampire series prior to her knight series I may beimpressed yet compared to the Knight series I was a little disappointed I found the internal monologuing wasthan needed and I found myself drifting from the actual happenings I also felt that if these internal monologues weren t there, there would bespace for the doing rather then the thinking The factor that made me gives this book a 3 rather then a 4 is the mass of spelling mistakes and wromgly auto corrected words It completely disrupts my flow of reading and staggers the story Its such a simple and minor detail however is something I struggle to get past On the other hand, Bridgets detail to environments and surroundings are incredible, as if I sat on the beach alongside them The way she describes how an environment makes the character feel is very compelling which relates back to vampires very well Also how the description of the same building the Sullivan hotel changes from the way it looks in the daytime compared to at night I am glad that it finished on a cliffhanger Even though I was a little disappointed overall, I was still very excited to read volume 2 which I picked up almost immediately I really want to like this author s work, but every book I ve read has left me bored I couldn t count the number of times I mutter, Come on, get on with it under my breath while reading a Bridget Essex book The vast amount of inner monologue is only tiring because nothing else ever happens The entire book consists of inner monologue Every single time something does actually happen the main character reflects on the incident three times over before the story can move on Don t get me wrong I really want to like this author s work, but every book I ve read has left me bored I couldn t count the number of times I mutter, Come on, get on with it under my breath while reading a Bridget Essex book The vast amount of inner monologue is only tiring because nothing else ever happens The entire book consists of inner monologue Every single time something does actually happen the main character reflects on the incident three times over before the story can move on Don t get me wrong, I m a sucker for suspense and intensity, but that can t be ALL a story consists of unless you are very, very skilled at world building.I definitely think Bridget Essex is talented in setting a scene, her descriptive flair is nothing less than exceptional I just wish she weaved in a real story along the way She sets the setting, she lays out the circumstances, but the story arc leaves much to be desired.I m also left indifferent by her characters, they are all the same They all raise their brow s and tilt their heads to the side They are carbon copies of eachother, differing only in hair and eye colour Where is the personality Why are all the love interests calm, quiet and powerful Why are all the heroines self controlled, conservative chicks who s only real conflict to overcome is, Does she or doesn t she like love me Her books are great if you JUST want a descriptive run down of someone falling in love and enjoying an inevitable and anti climactic happy ending But if you re looking for something to make your heart race you d be better of reading a dictionary Sorry, it s true Not a bad book Way, way too much internal monologue from Rose.Way too much telling and nowhere near enough showing. I sat down and read this entire trilogy one day, treating it like one long book because I honestly love Bridget s work and I couldn t wait to read a story that was this long form Book one does a great job of introducing the Sullivan sisters, Rose, and the town Written from her prospective and with her narration Rose plays a nice audience surrogate as an attempt on her life thrusts her head first into a world of vampires Despite logic telling her to leave her feelings compel her to stay Feeli I sat down and read this entire trilogy one day, treating it like one long book because I honestly love Bridget s work and I couldn t wait to read a story that was this long form Book one does a great job of introducing the Sullivan sisters, Rose, and the town Written from her prospective and with her narration Rose plays a nice audience surrogate as an attempt on her life thrusts her head first into a world of vampires Despite logic telling her to leave her feelings compel her to stay Feelings for Kane Sullivan Like magnets they re drawn to each other and they almost fully end up together by the end of the book when suddenly Kane s presumed dead ex shows up and subsequently terminates Rose s employment and sends her packing There s a lot of raw emotions and plenty of twists and turns to be had here, which is why the moment I finished this one I leapt straight into book two Just bad I don t do a lot of reviews but I had to for this book I really like the author s work I ve read many of her books and loved them but for some reason every time I saw this series I d just pass right over it and I don t know why so I thought let me try it To say I was disappointed would be a understatement I have to agree with another reviewer Rox the inner monologue of repeating the same thing over and over again was the worst and I skipped a lot of it after a while Things weren t be Just bad I don t do a lot of reviews but I had to for this book I really like the author s work I ve read many of her books and loved them but for some reason every time I saw this series I d just pass right over it and I don t know why so I thought let me try it To say I was disappointed would be a understatement I have to agree with another reviewer Rox the inner monologue of repeating the same thing over and over again was the worst and I skipped a lot of it after a while Things weren t being said out loud when it should have been, there were things said that went no where and the whole lover coming back from the dead and no one really questioning it even though they were questioning it It was like oh yeah she was dead and now she s back and she s a vampire at that, somethings not right but hey would you like some tea It s not realistic even in the realm of fiction I should have stuck to my original feeling about this series when I first stumbled onto this author and never picked up this book Good thing it was free other wise I d be asking for my money back Twilight for lesbians No wonder i didn t like it I hated Twilight Didn t care for this book either Should have known better Vampires Sometimes I think lesbian authors are obsessed with them and werewolves Fantasy only With the exception of Sarah Waters and Emma Donahue not one will take a chance Same romantic fluff as usual What a shock it would be to actually read something of substance Yet again passing time until Sarah Waters writes a new book. Book 14 Good start to this series Likeable characters with a great background Book 2This storyline is building very well The relationships between the characters is balanced well I m enjoying the writing style very much Book 3Well that got very interesting What a great reveal I was not expecting that ending I m really looking forward to the next book. {Ebook} ⚟ Meeting Eternity ⚫ Would you risk your life for love Rose Clyde lost her girlfriend six months ago in a tragic accident Since then, she simply goes through the motions, knowing she might be doomed to spend the rest of her life grieving But when her best friend calls with a strange job offer working the front desk of an old hotel up the Maine coastline it s an offer Rose can t refuse And a chance to restart her life But Rose isn t prepared for Kane Sullivan, her new boss This enigmatic, captivating woman, from their very first meeting, has Rose spellbound There s something about Kane that seems so familiar why does Rose feel as if she s seen this lovely, powerful woman before As the strange old Sullivan Hotel begins to reveal its dark secrets, Rose s life hangs in the balance But an even greater danger looms She s falling in love with a vampire Meeting Eternity is the first volume in the Sullivan Vampires series It contains the full first three novellas in the series Eternal Hotel, Eternal Kiss and Eternal Thief The Sullivan Vampires is a beautiful, romantic epic that follows the clan of Sullivan vampires and the women who love them Advance praise has hailed this hallmark series as Twilight for women who love women and a lesbian romance that takes vampires seriously Two thumbs up It is approximately , words several days worth of reading or so Cliff hanger This is a well written tale of two very different women, one human, the other vampire Both lost the love of their lives to death These well developed characters are inexplicably drawn to each other Suddenly, one woman s supposedly dead love returns The engrossing storyline flows from the pages, making this a must read Be prepared to be left hanging.
